ABOUT THE REGION;
Bitez,
You can reach Bitez, which is 8 km away from Bodrum, in 15 minutes by minibus, or with a very pleasant one-hour walk, if you wish, by following a short route. The nature, in a blue and green revel, is as enthusiastic as can be; This town, which is well known to all of Turkey and has been the subject of the folk song "Çökertme", which has become a symbol of our culture, will immediately welcome you with a smiling face. The sadness of tragic love in Turkey has now given way to joy and serenity.
Please Note: Due to privacy reasons the map locations on our listings are are indicative of the area.

Bitez village is located 9 kms SW from Bodrum town and 32 kms from Bodrum Airport.
Less hectic than Gümbet just east, Bitez (the closest resort town to Bodrum) Bitez is still a major centre of coastal nightlife in summer. It attracts many foreigners as well as a popular location for Turkish tourism. However Bitez remains a village framed by lovely orchards and maintains a year round location. The fine sandy shallow beach is 2km below the village centre. It is safe for children, good for swimming and offers numerous restaurants and cafes with umbrellas and sunbeds provided free on the beach area.
There are many quality restaurants serving European and local cuisine. The ambience is quiet, laid back and relaxed. Quieter than some resorts like Gumbet or central Bodrum.
In summer, Daily Boat Cruises offer day trips from the small harbour area where boat mooring is available.
For some cultural edification, visit the ruins of Pedasa, sign posted just before the turnoff to Bitez village on the D330 linking Bodrum with Turgutreis. A relic of the lost Lelegian civilisation that predated the Carians, this small site features defensive wall foundations and a number of chamber graves.
There are many walking tracks locally and its close location to Bodrum Centre and shopping malls make it the ideal choice for year round occupation as well as summer residence.
Public transport is regular throughout summer and winter.
The main types of properties available are based on high end villas and luxury, which keeps in tune with the area.
NB : Due to the close proximity of the Greek Islands from Bitez, there are some properties which are restricted from foreign property buyers.
